Overview

General Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Lead Generator is expanding business opportunities within ArcBest’s existing customer base, developing new business relationships, and providing support for the entire sales organization.

Responsibilities

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead generation and development
  • Conduct research to identify potential customers
  • Outbound call campaigns, including cold calling
  • Develop lower revenue accounts
  • Cross-sell ArcBest service amongst existing customers
  • Become an expert in all of ArcBest services and the industry as a whole
  • Work closely with all internal departments
  • Represent the company with integrity and professionalism
  • Complete call campaigns and other assignments within specified period of time

 

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses, Registration:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or sales setting
  • Experience with CRM tools preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Outgoing, energetic, and positive
  • Must be able to build solid relationships
  • Ability to overcome objections and accept rejection
  • Highly motivated
  • Time management
  • Sense of urgency
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written

 

Work Environment:

  • This is a corporate office environment with multiple workstations. Each employee will have his/her own workstation.
