Overview

The primary responsibility of the Carrier Relations Specialist is to establish relationships with new agent carriers through active recruiting. The person is also responsible for collecting paperwork, verifying insurance requirements, and indexing all paperwork. The Carrier Relations Specialist should be energetic, punctual, and able to multitask. This position will require heavy phone and computer usage along with the ability to adapt and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Carrier lead generation and development
  • Establish and perform outbound call campaigns
  • Collect all necessary paperwork including insurance documents
  • Verify insurance requirements with carriers
  • Enter and index all information into Panthers’ internal system
  • Assist new carriers with understanding the service expectations of the Panther Carrier Excellence program
  • Consistently engage new carriers who require additional attention
  • Track various agent performance matrixes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses, Registration:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a customer service, data entry, or administrative position

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills
  • Outgoing, energetic, and positive
  • Strong time management skills including punctuality
  • Ability to multitask
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with a willingness to learn
  • Responsible and accountable
